New Smyrna Beach Real Estate River or Beach Lifestyle?Ask a Local Realtors at NSBHomes By Donna Concannon and David Kosmas NSBHomes.com Being a NATIVE REALTOR in New Smyrna Beach assisting buyers and seller for all their Real Estate needs; we are blessed to have the Beach and River surrounding us. New Smyrna Beach is a peninsula not an island. So many newcomers call New Smyrna an Island. However, we are surrounded by water on 3 sides. The very south end of New Smyrna known as Canaveral National Seashore does not inlet. Thus a peninsula, which only a NATIVE resident of New Smyrna would know. NSBHomes Lifestyle Experts can assist you in making the right lifestyle choices.
Most Buyers already think they know if they want to be on the River or the Beach. During my 30+ years in the business; NSBHomes Lifestyle Experts have learned that most Buyers really don’t know what they want and it is my job to listen and expose Buyers to ALL their options. Therefore, that means taking the time to expose Buyers’ to both the Ocean and the River front homes and condos and the lifestyles each lend.
Would you rather live on the River in New Smyrna?Boating: We love boating, paddle boarding and fishing. My husband, David Kosmas was raised on the river in New Smyrna.
His family was one of the very first families to build their homestead in Bethune, just north of JB’s Fish Camp and Canaveral National Seashore. David is known by his childhood friends as a “river rat” You just could not get him off the water. His mother, Suzanne Kosmas tells stories of David gone before the sun rise and home after the sun set. Face kissed by the sun with freckles galore, a mother load of fresh catch of the day and one tired salty dog. The best part about living on the river in New Smyrna Beach you are only a stones throw to the ocean. Living on the river is a different lifestyle than living on the beach. There is nothing like jumping on your vessel, wind in your face as you motor down the ditch (locals term) gathering your evening meal to come home at the end of the day and enjoy your fresh catch meal, watching the sky turn shades of reds, orange yellows as the sun sets. There is nothing like living on the river in New Smyrna Beach. Would you rather live on the Beach in New Smyrna?Beaching it: Living on the ocean or on the interior of New Smyrna (between the Ocean and the River) is a true blessing for NSBHomes Lifestyle Experts. While David may be out fishing his day away; I will have loaded my bike and trailer with everything except the kitchen sink. My sister, Ann Concannon Coomber gave me a paddle board trailer for my bike. I quickly adapted the bike and trailer to haul all important beach gear. Whats in my beach paraphernalia? Sunscreen, hats, lip guard, cover up, book, cell phone, magazines, blue tooth speaker, towels, beach chairs, sunglasses and cooler full of cold beverages and snacks. You can’t miss me. I have a big basket on the front of my bike with a coconut shell for my cold brew, blue tooth speaker with some Raeggae music playing toting my paddle board, beach chairs and cooler.
