Arts and crafts, live music, craft beers, good food… There’s no better way to ring in the New Year and a new month than First Saturdays on Canal Street! Tomorrow, January 7, head to Downtown New Smyrna Beach to celebrate the first First Saturday of 2017 on Canal Street with a full day of activities!
Kick Off Your Saturday with the Art Walk
The popular First Saturday Art Walk begins at 10:00 am and runs through 4:00 pm at the HUB on Canal Street. One of the Art Walk’s main events is the Artists Market, which runs from 10:00 to 2:00 and features works by 75 local artists and specials on fine arts and crafts. Following the Art Walk is the reception and grand opening of the HUB’s new gallery exhibit and the Gallery Walk, which runs from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
Enjoy Live Music at Christmas Park
Christmas Park stands at the corner of Live Oak and Canal Street, and tomorrow, local musicians will be taking the stage starting at 11:00 am. Head out to the park after your Art Stroll to enjoy free entertainment in the heart of the Canal Street Historic District until 1:00 pm, then be sure to stick around for the Craft Beer Walk!
Finish the Evening with the Canal Street Craft Beer Walk
From 1:00 to 7:00 pm, stroll Canal Street to sample delicious craft beers at 10 locations along the street. Tickets are $20 and include 12 sampling tickets and a souvenir glass. 
It’s the perfect way to try out some great new local flavors, and maybe grab a few bites of delicious local food along the way!
